40-Hour Hoisting Machine Operator

PURPOSE:

This course is one of the pre-requisites an applicant must successfully complete before being eligible to apply for a Hoisting Machine Operator license.

DURATION: 40 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals

CLASS SIZE: 1 – 40 Trainees

CEUs: 4.0

COURSE PRICE: $1500.00

NYC REQUIREMENT:

To apply for a Hoisting Machine Operator license, the applicant must complete & submit to the Licensing Unit a certificate of completion for 40 hours of training as mandated by the Rules of the City of New York, 1 RCNY §104- 09.

NOTE: In addition to this training, applicants for a Hoisting Machine Operators license must also hold valid national crane operator certification(s).

CURRICULUM REQUIREMENT:

Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities including hands-on demonstrations and the multiple choice and hands-on final exams. Students must obtain a score of 70% or higher on each to receive a certificate of completion and a Signal Person ID card from Valor Consulting.

Students who do not pass the written or hands-on exam will have an opportunity to retake the entire course at a reduced price of 50% of the original course fee. Students must contact Valor Consulting to schedule and pay for the retake class within 6 months following the original class date. After 6 months, students will be required to pay the full course fee.

Make-up time is not permitted for this training course. Should students miss any portions of the training, it is the student’s responsibility to contact Valor Consulting to arrange to attend another scheduled event.
